Role Overview

The Communication and Social Media Officer will be responsible for developing and executing effective strategies to enhance brand visibility, engage our target audience, and drive customer acquisition.


The communication and social media officer should have a passion for digital marketing, a deep understanding of social media platforms, and a talent for crafting compelling content.

Job Responsibilities

  • Social Media Strategy
    • Collaborate with the communication manager to develop comprehensive social media strategies aligned with business objectives and marketing campaigns.
    • Identify opportunities for growth, engagement, and lead generation through social media channels.
    • Work closely with the team to align social media efforts with overall marketing initiatives.
    • Ensure that all social media content and communications adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent brand image.
  • Content Creation and Management
    • Create engaging and innovative content, including posts, images, videos, and infographics, for various social media platforms.
    • Plan and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting across all social channels.
    • Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, and respond in a timely and professional manner.
    • Foster meaningful interactions with followers to build a loyal and engaged community.
  • Paid Social Advertising
    • Develop and manage paid social media advertising campaigns to drive traffic, conversions, and brand awareness.
    • Monitor ad performance, adjust targeting, and optimize campaigns to maximize ROI.
  • Social Media Analytics
    • Utilize social media analytics tools to measure the performance of campaigns, track key metrics, and provide actionable insights.
    • Prepare regular reports showcasing performance and suggesting improvements.
  • Communication
    • Develop engaging and high-quality written content for various channels, including website, blog, email newsletters, press releases, and more.
    • Ensure consistent and on-brand messaging across all communication materials.
    • Collaborate with teams to create and disseminate internal communications, announcements, and updates.
    • Foster relationships with media outlets, respond to media inquiries, and manage media relations efforts.
  • Other
    • Other tasks may be assigned as necessary according to DigiZag needs.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Qualification
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the digital marketing industry.
    • Proven experience in managing social media platforms and campaigns.
    • Strong understanding of various social media platforms, their features, and best practices.
    • Proficiency in social media scheduling and analytics tools
    • Ability to adapt to evolving social media trends.
    • Familiarity with affiliate marketing concepts and strategies is a plus.
  • Language proficiency
    • Proficiency in English and Arabic
  • Essential Skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Analytical skills to interpret data and adjust strategies for optimal results.
    • Creative mindset with the ability to develop visually appealing and engaging social media content.
